My client a well-established GIC/GCC based out of Hyderabad and part of a large European retail chain is looking to hire a head of Engineering for its Software Engineering team. This person would the responsible for all aspects of application development which includes requirements gathering, architecture, design, build and finally QA.

This is a leadership role and the individual is expected to provide strategic and operational insights, guide and mentor direct reports and work with them to achieve business goals.

Skills and Experience required:

Experience : 20+ Years 

Team size managed : 100 to 150

Technology : Java, Integration Technologies, Application development

Level  : Senior Level - Top Management

Reporting to : Managing Director - India

Salary : 50 LPA - 60 LPA (not a constraint for right candidate)

Desired Profile:

• Having an overall experience of 20+ years, of which minimum 7 years of relevant experience in a leadership position in the domains of “Software Engineering” from Consulting, Architecture, Design, Build, Run and QA.

• Expertise in managing large teams & dealing with global stakeholders across locations and diverse technologies.

• Strong experience in Delivery and People management.

• Experience in defining and managing vision, policies, strategies that have long-term impact on the organization.

• As part of global team  IT, report directly into Head of India Operations.

• Must have prior experience in dealing with global clientele preferably in Europe Markets.

• Exposure to retail domain is an added advantage.

• Prior experience in working as part of large GCC is an added advantage.

• Responsible for P&L of the Business Unit.
