Job Description
Main responsibilities:
- Business partner with Marketing to develop and build strong relationships, ensuring a full involvement in their financials to drive growth and profitability
- Pre and post analysis for any promotion activity with existing products providing deep insight and challenge to financials
- Pre and post new product launch evaluation
- Prepare and provide our Supply Chain function with a product mix projection and actual variance analysis at a single SKU level on a timely manner
- Leading margin expansion initiatives related to product mix and portfolio decisions
- Perform key tasks within the commercial Finance team to ensure that reporting is both timely & accurate.
- Provide management with relevant financial information as requested
- Work within the team to develop new tools & systems to provide faster and more accurate projections on a weekly/daily basis
- Proactively highlight future performance concerns and opportunities to the Marketing & Finance Leadership teams
- Help Senior Management Team to take the right commercial decision based on accurate financial evaluations
- Work very close with our Pricing Manager in order to understand how pricing actions drive performances results and help to incorporate our marketing activities financial findings/learnings into pricing strategy as well as into our official projections/plan
- Submission of ad hoc data requests where required
Requirements for potential candidate:
- Commercial Finance
- Business Controlling, budgeting/planning skills
- Driven to take on additional responsibility in an organization that provides a high level of autonomy with ambition to progress your career within commercial and finance functions
- Proven track record of building relationships across departments, with well-developed communication skills
- Confident at the challenging the status quo and both influencing and challenging decisions at a senior management level
- Multi-tasking – need to be organized, highly efficient and able to push multiple projects forward at the same time
- Entrepreneurial – help the commercial team develop new initiatives/projects and resolve problems
- Advanced Excel skills with experience of scenario modelling
- Professional degree in Accounting / Business Administration
- 8-10 years of experience in similar commercial business partnering roles
- Strong commercial awareness and experience in a cross-functional environment within FMCG or Retail
- Good understanding of US Gaap
- Good English is necessary to take over this position
