Overview
The Head of Communications is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of the organization’s communications strategies and plans. The role oversees internal and external communications, manages content creation, and ensures effective dissemination of insights and knowledge products across digital and traditional platforms.
The successful candidate will lead efforts to craft clear, compelling messages using multiple channels tailored to target audiences at national, regional, and international levels, while safeguarding the organization’s reputation and public image.
Key Responsibilities

Own and safeguard the organization’s external messaging, public image, and reputation.

Develop, refine, and disseminate key messages that clearly articulate the organization’s mission, mandate, and strategic objectives.

Maintain full familiarity with the contractual scope and deliverables of the appointed Communications and PR agency.

Supervise and ensure the quality of all written outputs produced by the Communications and PR agency, including newsletters, issue briefs, blogs, opinion pieces, and annual reports.

Manage communications calendars and oversee budgets for key communications campaigns.

Coordinate with the Communications and PR agency on the development and execution of external communications materials, including annual reports, newsletters, press releases, email campaigns, website content, social media content, brochures, and positioning materials.

Ensure the organization’s website and social media platforms are regularly updated and aligned with agreed messaging.

Support the structuring and dissemination of information related to programs, initiatives, investment processes, criteria, and completed investments to relevant stakeholders.

Oversee the execution of the communications and PR strategy and identify areas for enhancement or improvement.

Act as the primary liaison between senior management and the contracted Communications and PR agency.

Track all deliverables from the Communications and PR agency and any subcontractors.

Collaborate with internal department heads to identify newsworthy stories and communication opportunities.

Review and validate all communications and PR materials to ensure alignment with internal approvals and organizational priorities.

Support communications needs across multiple departments and teams.

Coordinate with procurement, finance, and internal audit teams to ensure timely processing of communications-related payments.

Monitor, evaluate, and enhance social media performance and audience engagement.

Maintain accurate documentation and records of communications activities for reporting purposes.

Proactively propose innovative ideas to strengthen communication outputs and maximize outreach through partnerships.
Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, Finance, or a related field.

Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience in communications, PR, or a related discipline.

Strong professionalism with the ability to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines; excellent writing and editing skills.

Demonstrated ability to leverage communications and PR tools to achieve organizational objectives, particularly through digital and social media channels.

High level of technological proficiency, including common productivity tools, digital platforms, and online communication systems.

Personal integrity, credibility, and strong commitment to organizational values and mission.

Solid understanding of the Jordanian entrepreneurial and investment ecosystem, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and effectively.

Strong stakeholder awareness and understanding of target audiences within the entrepreneurial and investment landscape.

Proven experience in managing, monitoring, and evaluating social media performance.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and perform effectively under pressure.

Strong administrative discipline with consistent on-time delivery.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in communications roles.
