Job Description
Job duties
- Supervise the reengineering process toward product development in conjunction with regulation (Central Bank) linked to all bank’s operations (open bank account, transfer, withdraw, deposit, E-Commerce including electronic payment, etc.) inside the bank
- Ensure that group policies and procedures as well as local regulatory requirements are complied with, in respect of “Customer Due Diligence”
- Design policies and procedures, KYC in order to eliminate or minimize the risk of breaches of regulatory requirements and of damage in the bank’s reputation.
- Be aligned with all recommendations from regulators toward all bank operations such as open new bank account, transfer, digital payment, etc.
- Protect the reputation through eliminate risk linked to the illicit transaction (money laundering, fraud, suspicious transactions, financial crimes, etc.).
- Supervise all processes toward the matters relating to the Code of Corporate Governance, Prudential Regulations issued by Central Bank of DRC are complied with.
- Assure that all the group standards relating to compliance and risk management are complied with by the business and are being effectively monitored.
- Assist in timely preparation of management reports for the purposes of highlighting regulatory developments, changes in the law and other developments in so far as they are rising to compliance issues relevant to the Bank’s business and operations.
- Ensure that periodic name screening procedures are adhered to and that there are no exceptions to this.
- Advise the Politically Exposed Persons and recommend whether the policies and procedures are being followed in such cases.
- Support Compliance Group in provision of FCR (Financial Crime Risk) awareness & training (staff awareness of their duty and legal obligations in reporting suspicious transactions
- Make the bank a safe place where people and communities can execute their financial transactions in good conditions
- Use digital platforms through collecting and analysing report toward identify potential suspicious activities
Required qualifications.
- 10 years of experience as Head of compliance in a banking organization. Able to work in a multicultural environment. Demonstrated strong leadership. A master of Laws
