Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned technology professional who has excellent understanding of SAP system administration (BASIS) including infrastructure needs assessment & planning, system set-up / build, system upgrade & migrations, monitoring & optimization.

The role requires managing a team of technology professionals and involves significant collaboration with cross functional, project and program management teams based out of multiple locations.

Job Description:

· Work with project and program teams to understand new digital business needs and plan on infrastructure and applications set-up required

· Build roadmap for system modernization including migration to Cloud and plan & execute on those strategies

· Bring DevOps practices and ensure better agility in processes and increased automation in delivery

· Architect overall system landscape and continuously improve upon the enterprise architecture

· Work with IT, digital, shared services and other functional / business heads to align expectations on availability & system performance whilst optimizing the overall cost

· Learn new technologies and implement them for business improvement

· Ensure continuous development of team and provide opportunities within organization to align with career aspirations

Profile Description:

· Bachelor of technology / B.E / MBA or equivalent field, OR a combination of relevant education and experience

· 12 - 16 years of strong, professional, IT technical SAP BASIS experience.

· Should be able to identify opportunities of effort optimization through process / technology interventions and work with lean but highly efficient team

· Excellent communication skills - should be able to lead cross functional initiatives at own

· Leadership capabilities, excellent logical and analytical skills, persuasion and negotiation skills, multi-tasking capabilities, able to manage tight deadlines

Must Have Skills:

· End to End SAP Landscape designing and implementation experience.

· Experience in handling both SAP implementation and Landscape support.

· Hands-on experience in any one of the following SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Enterprise Cloud, HANA Enterprise cloud.

· Hand-on experience in SAP OS/DB migration, SAP Version upgrades, SAP HANA upgrades, SAP ECC to SoH and S/4 conversions

· Provide support to teams with integrating systems, business applications, IT tools and other departmental or ERP systems

· Plan, Implement and support interfaces for the SAP environments, including third party systems

· Experience in enterprise DevOps

· Supervise and Perform routine maintenance such as kernel patches, upgrades, application of SAP Notes and fixes

· Work with the Infrastructure teams to administer, configure and optimize SAP systems

· Experience in handling SAP and statutory audits

Purpose / Summary of Roles:

Role is of leading a team of professionals involved in system administration in SAP (BASIS). It requires managing the SAP and allied landscape ensuring maintenance, capacity expansion and putting in adequate systemic controls ensuring proper governance. It also involves modernization, landscape roadmap planning, new solution implementation etc

Key responsibility area:

SAP system maintenance Make sure team does 1. Regular maintenance / patching 2. Ensure effective monitoring of systems 3. Regular refreshes / DR drills etc 4. Timely upgrades 5. Ensure system issues (performance / downtimes) are minimal

Infrastructure needs assessment Keep close watch on the requirements and capacity 1. Flag off areas of risk 2. Infrastructure needs assessment 3. Budgeting

Landscape modernization Have effective view of the SAP system landscape and drive improvement initiatives 1. Bring in new concepts and tools for managing BASIS, incl DevOps 2. Build long term view on landscape incl cloud 3. Apply enterprise architecture principles to solution the landscape to address business priorities

New builds Support project teams in new solution build, right from planning till executing including system sizing, budgeting and set-up of system controls. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute with right quality and in time

Learning focus area:

Understand the landscape & team Work closely with Priyatha and the team and understand the full landscape of SAP systems in Singapore / Chennai. Also understand the roles played by each team member and areas of their focus

Stakeholder engagement The work will involve close coordination with Infra team and also with Infosec team. Hence get know key people in each of the teams and establish connects

Understand SAP team operations There are different teams within the larger SAP team which you are part of. Good to know the mechanics to ensure proper interactions, SLAs and reporting
