The company is looking for an experienced Industry Manager based in Johannesburg reporting into the BU Manager: Coatings.
Person Profile: Targeted Skills & Capabilities
- The ideal candidate will be ambitious, talented and technically orientated, seeking a commercial career. He / She will have a Tertiary Qualification in the Chemical Field, with between 3 - 5 years experience in a commercial environment.
- Experience in sales of specialty raw materials to the Coatings and Construction industries is key. Formulation knowledge for these applications would be beneficial. Previous experience with export related markets, would be an advantage.
- You have a strong commercial drive, analytical mindset and good interpersonal skills. You are willing to travel nationally, into Africa as well as abroad. A strong sales hunter mentality is a must.
- The candidate will assume responsibility for the supply of chemical raw materials for Business Group Coatings and Construction.
- You have to be an analytical self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to compile and present presentations and reports. You have to be IT literate. Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to prioritize accordingly.

The position is responsible for:
- Maximizing profitability, controlling working capital, growing the portfolio and achieving budgetary objectives for your selected product portfolio.
- Introducing new product ranges, concepts and applications to the market
- Ability to work in a very pressurized environment.
- Excellent planning ability and execution ability.
- Technical assistance to customers and colleagues.
- Constructing a business plan which will include strategies and sales forecasts for annual budgets.
- Update reports on CRM system on an ongoing basis.
- Assist in co-coordinating sales of product and ordering of stock on a national basis.
- Maintaining customer databases on all allocated customers.
- Stock Management, Debtor and Working Capital Management
- Obtaining information relating to specific market surveys.
Expected Qualification/Education:
A recognized tertiary qualification in the Chemical Field.
Work Experience:
Between 5 – 10 years proven sales experience in a related field.
Primary Job Location:
275 Oak Avenue, Randburg, South Africa.
Travel:
Nationally, as well as into Africa and abroad as required.
