The client is an Association for Energy Technology and Internal Combustion Engines was founded in 1978. Since then, they have grown continuously and have developed into one of the leading and internationally recognized engineering partners for the automotive and engine industries. In addition to the original focus on the development of combustion engines, further competencies in the fields of electrics / electronics, alternative drives, transmission technology and energy technology have been added. Our own experience with engine test bench investigations has led to a separate division. Today we are one of the world's leading providers of test equipment through to the representation of turnkey test centers.

 

In 1985 They founded a North American subsidiary for the local markets. After just two years, the company's headquarters were relocated from California to Detroit, Michigan. They have been using a newly established “North American Technical Center” since 1997, which has been continuously expanded since then.

 

The tremendous growth was initially strongly focused on the European and North American markets. Nevertheless, the client recognized the opportunities that were opening up on the Chinese market very early on and founded its first office in Beijing in 1998. At the beginning of the new millennium, they opened another chapter in the company's history with the establishment of the “Asian Technical Center” in Dalian, China.

 

In 2009 the “India Technical Center in Pune” opened. TASKS

 

You are responsible for the introduction of an "Enterprise Architecture" approach in the group of companies

 

In addition to the EA strategy, you are responsible for the global implementation of an EA tool including process definition and rollout plan

 

After successful implementation of the EA tool, you will be responsible for governance, further development and data quality within the tool and define the technical guard rails and framework conditions of the IT technology strategy

 

You lead (professionally) and coach the architects of the various IT departments and ensure that processes are adhered to and that the data in the EA tool is up-to-date

 

You support the Head of Digitalization & Transformation and the CIO of FEV with relevant data and visualizations, give recommendations and accompany the creation and implementation of the IT strategy and the IT roadmap

 

You will work closely with process management and various IT functions to ensure a holistic approach

 

QUALIFICATION

 

English Language min C1 is a must.

 

Remote Possibility, Location in Germany

 

You have a university or technical college degree with a focus on (business) computer science or a comparable subject

 

You have several years of practical experience in the field of enterprise architecture in a global company

 

You are no stranger to the IT requirements in a project-based company

 

You can demonstrate specific experience in the introduction of an EA tool (e.g., LeanIX, Alfabet) in a heterogeneously grown, global IT landscape

 

You have experience with virtualization, containerization, cloud and PaaS systems (e.g., Azure)

 

You have relevant certifications (e.g., iSAQB, TOGAF)

 

You have experience with the current trends in the automotive industry (SDV, Connected Mobility, V2X etc.) and their influence on the IT landscape

 

You are characterized by a high level of teamwork, creativity, a hands-on mentality and enjoyment of project-related work
