The Junior Account Manager will be assisting (alongside Technology), the execution of the customer strategy for a key customer, in alignment with the Clean Air strategy. The key customer is a large and complex global customer. The Junior Account Manager will be focused on supporting and building customer relationships, while leading efforts on prototypes, internal price updates, data generation for quotations, reporting, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities :

Reporting to the Key Account Manager, the junior Account Manager supports the execution of the agreed strategy for their own defined customer scope (pursuing opportunities, building OEM relationships, facilitating internal discussions across functions, supporting the NPI process), whilst ensuring alignment with the Clean Air strategy.

Leads Sales efforts for data generation necessary to submit quotations (cost model, cost analysis, manufacturing feasibility assessment, risk review, ABQAS etc.).

Supports input into negotiation strategies for quotations, commercial excellence, customer change management, and other customer-specific topics. Participates and/or leads the negotiation with the customer depending on project scope.

Serves as a key point of contact at the customer, with regular, direct interactions with the key customer Purchasing and other functional contacts.

Responsible for updating periodic rolling internal forecasts for the customer account, using intelligence obtained from the OEM and other sources.

Supports the Sales Plan and budgeting activities within the customer scope.

Builds strong internal relationships, knowledge sharing, and collaboration within the Global Key Account team: works to support cohesive global communications. Provides guidance to other members of the Key Account team.

Collaborates with Technology, Product Management, Quality, Supply Chain and other functions to lead resolution of customer problems.

May serve as first point of contact for Supply Chain and other cross functional issues.
Candidate requirements :

Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field. An advanced degree is preferred.

3+ years commercial experience with strong knowledge of automotive markets.

Ability to work in a multi-cultural organisation, with global customers.

Excellent communication, presentation, organisation, negotiation and influencing skills.

Strong record of building relationships based on trust and collaboration with external customers as well as internal colleagues.

Track record of facilitating new product programs/launches.

Fluent in English and German.
