Our client is a small to medium sized French company specialising in the distribution of high-quality raw materials and specialty ingredients, including some natural products, for the cosmetic, pharmaceutical and industrial markets. With a heritage spanning seventy years, the company is committed to innovation and reliability and has long standing relationships with international manufacturers. The Italian subsidiary is based in Milan.
Position Overview:
The Key Account Manager will focus on growing and managing a customer base within the Personal Care/Cosmetics sector for the Italian market. Responsibilities include overseeing the entire customer relationship lifecycle from initial contact to deal closure, working closely with the customer's R&D and Quality teams.
Ideal candidate profile:
- Degree in Chemistry or Formulation.
- 3-5 years sales experience in the ingredients sector.
- Fluency in Italian with knowledge of English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
- Independent, proactive and project oriented.
- Willingness to travel frequently and attend trade shows. Occasional office presence in Milan (one to two days per week) may be required.
Compensation package:
Approximately +/- 50,000 gross per year + performance bonus, company car and medical insurance.
