Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Lab Molecular Medicine unit, ensuring its efficient operation and high-quality testing.
- Independently analyse various molecular techniques, including PCR, NGS, and FISH.
- Translate complex genetic data into clear and concise reports for clinicians.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to leverage molecular findings for optimal treatment decisions.
- Continuously stay updated on the latest advancements in the field and integrate new technologies.
- Actively engage in research activities, potentially leading to presentations and publications.
- Contribute to the education and training of residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or equivalent in Pathology, Clinical Genetics, or Laboratory Medicine with expertise in molecular medicine from Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a busy hospital setting with diverse molecular testing experience.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are a plus.
