One of the leading multi-billion dollar E-commerce giants is hiring for the role of a Lead Data Scientist. They are headquartered in the US and have their state-of-the-art Global Technology and Innovation Centre set up here in Chennai. The centre in Chennai is involved in driving all of their strategic IT initiatives, innovations, product development and operations.

The ideal candidate would have 7-13 years of overall experience and 5-6 years of relevant experience in data science. They would be responsible for development, maintenance and driving business adoption of data science models and data driven insights. They are expected to be creative and innovative in their aproach towards solving existing business problems leveraging machine learning approaches. The candidate must have experience in :

1. Python (preferred), R programming or Shell scripting

2. Machine learning algorithms

3. Visualization tools like Tableau / Power BI or visualization libraries in python like matplotlib and seaborn

4. SQL Server / Oracle server

5. Cloud platforms like AWS, Azure or GCP (added advantage)
