Summary: The Modular Process Skid Design Engineer is responsible for the end-to-end design of custom, modular process skids, from conceptualization through detailed engineering, ensuring functionality, efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This role requires a multi-disciplinary approach, integrating process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical, and instrumentation design principles to deliver innovative and cost-effective skid-mounted solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with all process engineers and other key disciplines to understand project requirements, process specifications (PFDs, P&IDs), and operational needs.
• Develop conceptual designs for modular process skids, considering space optimization, maintainability, transportability, and overall project goals.
• Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical input to vendors.
• Translate process requirements into detailed engineering designs for modular skids across multiple disciplines.
• Process Design: Support process engineers in line sizing, and material selection for skid-mounted components.
• Piping Design: Develop comprehensive 3D piping layouts, isometric drawings, pipe support designs, and generate piping Bills of Materials (BOM). Ensure compliance with stress analysis updates.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, API, ISO, local safety regulations)
• Generate 2D General Arrangement (GA) drawings
• Review and approve detailed vendor drawings.
• Track and expedite vendor documents.

Qualifications:

   Education: Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. 

Experience:

• 10 to15 years of experience in process plant design, with a strong focus on modular skid design and fabrication.

Proven experience in designing systems for industries such as Chemical, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Green Energy / Energy Transition
