They are a 20 year old organization with 250 + employees in Atlanta and have revenues close to half a billion dollars. They are a very profitable organization and currently have a state of the art Technology center in Chennai, from where they intend to drive all of their strategic IT initiatives. The headcount for this technology center would be about 120 employees in the next 2 years. This is going to be their largest office outside of the United States. 

About the Role

Our client is looking for an individual with strong Oracle Database Administration with Oracle EBS DB experience supporting front and back-end 19C databases. Working in an enterprise environment and on a team of site ops engineers, ensuring high availability and performance for users, while working closely with our business stakeholders and other partners. In this role you will be partnering with other hardworking engineering minds across the company working on some of the coolest technologies offshore and onsite. Job Description:

Setup and Support of Oracle 19c database, as well as Enterprise Manager and Real Applications Clusters.

Monitor and improve systems to meet established SLAs, provide guidance on needs for improvement

Automate, analyze and report on alert logs

Monitor tablespace utilization and storage trends

Performance monitoring and tuning

Generating AWR/ASH/ADDM and other diagnostics reports.

Support of DevOps based environment, enabling self-service to other teams

Maintain security and best practices compliance on systems and environment

Assist in software deployments and monitor changes in established performance baselines.

Qualifications:

Excellent team skills as well as written and verbal communications.

24/7 On-Call availability for service outages (currently running at 99.994% system uptime)

Experience in installation, configuration, and maintenance of EBS R12.1 and R12.2 with 12c/19c databases.

Good Understanding of EBS and DB architectural concepts.

Experience in EBS/DB Startup/Shutdown and troubleshooting issues.

Experience in using Patching tools and troubleshooting ADOP, ADPATCH, OPATCH and BSU, EBS tools like ADADMIN, ADRELINK, FNDLOAD, WFLOAD, ADCONFIG.

Experience in Rapidclone for EBS 12.1 and 12.2 cloning.

Familiarity in a DevOps environment.

Self-motivated with attention to detail and a desire to explore and master new emerging technologies

Knowledge of generating health reports for the applications

At least 5 years’ experience in Oracle database administration

Experience in Managing Tablespaces, Datafiles, Users, Roles and privileges. strongly preferred.

Experience with Applying CPU and PSU patches to DB.

Maintaining Standby Databases, RAC, Dataguard and ASM installations.

Fair knowledge of data growth and data retention policies in the EBS data model

DB Table partition knowledge is preferred.
