Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-operative assessments and develop individualised anaesthetic plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Master various anaesthetic techniques like regional anaesthesia, general anaesthesia, and sedation, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Lead and collaborate within the operating room team, providing clear communication and effective teamwork.
- Manage pain effectively both during and after surgery, minimising discomfort and promoting smooth recovery.
- Actively participate in research activities, potentially leading to publications and presentations, advancing knowledge in the field.
- Contribute to teaching and training of residents and fellows, fostering the next generation of paediatric anaesthetists.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or equivalent in Anaesthesia with subspecialty training in Paediatric Anaesthesia from Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a busy paediatric anaesthesia practice with demonstrably positive patient outcomes.
- Proven expertise in managing diverse paediatric surgical procedures and employing various anaesthetic techniques.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a child-centred and empathetic approach.
- A strong commitment to patient safety and evidence-based practice.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are a plus.
