About the Opportunity:

- Provide rapid and expert care for children presenting with diverse emergencies, from respiratory distress to trauma.
- Perform advanced procedures including airway management, resuscitations, and minor surgical interventions.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with nurses, specialists, and families to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and initiate life-saving measures in acutely ill or injured children.
- Interpret diagnostic tests and collaborate with specialists for accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Oversee the care of hospitalised children, ensuring ongoing monitoring and therapeutic interventions.
- Guide bedside procedures and collaborate with surgeons for emergency interventions when necessary.
- Mentor and train junior doctors and nurses, fostering excellence in paediatric emergency care.
- Actively participate in research activities, potentially leading to publications and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or equivalent in Paediatrics with subspecialty training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine from Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a busy paediatric emergency department with demonstrably positive patient outcomes.
- Proven expertise in managing a wide range of paediatric emergencies and performing essential procedures.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a calm and decisive approach in high-pressure situations.
- A strong commitment to patient-centred care and building trust with children and families.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are a plus.
