About the Opportunity:

- Provide comprehensive eye care for children with diverse conditions, from strabismus and amblyopia to cataracts and retinal diseases.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough clinical examinations and utilise advanced diagnostic tools for accurate diagnoses.
- Develop individualised treatment plans, incorporating various approaches like glasses, patching, medications, and surgery when necessary.
- Lead surgical teams and perform delicate procedures, ensuring optimal outcomes and minimal invasiveness.
- Collaborate with specialists to manage complex cases and provide comprehensive care for children with co-morbidities.
- Actively participate in research activities, potentially leading to publications and presentations, advancing knowledge in the field.
- Contribute to teaching and training of residents and fellows, fostering the next generation of paediatric ophthalmologists.
Qualifications:
- Board-certified or equivalent in Ophthalmology with subspecialty training in Paediatric Ophthalmology from Europe, UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, or South Africa.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a busy paediatric ophthalmology practice with demonstrably positive patient outcomes.
- Proven expertise in diagnosing and treating diverse paediatric eye conditions, including surgical skills.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a child-centred and empathetic approach.
- A strong commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are a plus.
