Must to have Australia Payroll experience
Operational Deliverables -
- Lead a cluster of payroll market and obtain relevant knowledge for the region
- Drive relevant statutory changes and implementation of the policies
- Identify the financial impact of errors and devise plans to eliminate them
- Review and Sign off on the process to prevent material audit issues
- Provide support and assistance to the Global Payroll Operations Head which may include deputizing for him / her in absence
- Supervise Team Leads to ensure vendor completion of all payroll processing tasks and complete sign-off schedule for review ensuring any exceptions and outstanding tasks are documented.
- Liaise with HRDs and FDs and other stakeholders to capture and manage expectation for Payroll delivery
- Deploy governance model for respective markets and ascertaining schedule adherence
- Architect the reporting structure for optimum effectiveness of delivery
- Handle escalations pertaining to markets
- Monitor the performance management and development of Team Leads and Team Members, onshore and off-shore
- Report and monitor capacity planning and hiring with Team Leads
Transformation / Continuous Improvement Deliverables –
- Drive Continuous Improvements rigorously within GPT with Leads for respective regions
- Drive regular audits on payroll procedures and records within GPT with Leads for respective regions
- Drive Quality and Controls enhancement through Six Sigma Methodologies within GPT with Leads for respective regions
- Set up regional hubs – hiring, training and establish team for payroll management
Key Requirements -
- Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role
- Proven managerial skills with respect to payroll delivery
- Adept at Change Management and Communications
- Excellent analytical skills
- Bachelor/Master’s degree from a three/four-year college or university
- Minimum 12-14 years of experience in payroll profile
- Knowledge of one or more of the Payroll application systems preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technical skills in data reporting
- Ability to communicate with all Global stakeholders in English
