Must to have Australia Payroll experience

Operational Deliverables -

1. Lead a cluster of payroll market and obtain relevant knowledge for the region
2. Drive relevant statutory changes and implementation of the policies
3. Identify the financial impact of errors and devise plans to eliminate them
4. Review and Sign off on the process to prevent material audit issues
5. Provide support and assistance to the Global Payroll Operations Head which may include deputizing for him / her in absence
6. Supervise Team Leads to ensure vendor completion of all payroll processing tasks and complete sign-off schedule for review ensuring any exceptions and outstanding tasks are documented.
7. Liaise with HRDs and FDs and other stakeholders to capture and manage expectation for Payroll delivery
8. Deploy governance model for respective markets and ascertaining schedule adherence
9. Architect the reporting structure for optimum effectiveness of delivery
10. Handle escalations pertaining to markets
11. Monitor the performance management and development of Team Leads and Team Members, onshore and off-shore
12. Report and monitor capacity planning and hiring with Team Leads

  Transformation / Continuous Improvement Deliverables –

1. Drive Continuous Improvements rigorously within GPT with Leads for respective regions
2. Drive regular audits on payroll procedures and records within GPT with Leads for respective regions
3. Drive Quality and Controls enhancement through Six Sigma Methodologies within GPT with Leads for respective regions
4. Set up regional hubs – hiring, training and establish team for payroll management

Key Requirements -

• Proven experience as a Payroll Manager or similar role
• Proven managerial skills with respect to payroll delivery
• Adept at Change Management and Communications
• Excellent analytical skills
• Bachelor/Master’s degree from a three/four-year college or university
• Minimum 12-14 years of experience in payroll profile
• Knowledge of one or more of the Payroll application systems preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technical skills in data reporting
• Ability to communicate with all Global stakeholders in English
