Overview of my client:

Our client is leading service based global data analytics and data engineering firm partners with Fortune500 organizations across the world to achieve analytics self-sufficiency using AI/ML technologies. As Principal, Data Engineering, India, you will be leading the Data Management & Data Engineering delivery of the Pharma business.

Responsibilities:

• Handle P&L for engineering stakeholders by providing delivery excellence, setting up foundation for scale & creating reusable artifacts/modules for market differentiation.

• Led Engineering projects/teams

• Help guide teams to build and maintain data pipelines to support large-scale data management in alignment with data strategy and data processing standards.

• Experience in understanding and translating data, analytic requirements and functional needs

into technical requirements while working with global customers.

• Able to & currently leading a team of 20+ members.

• Go to person for architecting solutions & providing thought leadership.

• Will be handling multiple projects as an engineering consultant on need basis

Requisites:

• BE/BS/M.Tech/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience.

• 14+ years of experience in delivering engineering projects across data, cloud & products.

• 5+ years of experience in building scalable enterprise data ecosystems on cloud (AWS/ Azure)

• Expertise in data structures, distributed computing, manipulating, and analyzing complex high volume data from variety of internal and external sources.

• Experience in developing ETL designs and data models for structured/ unstructured and streaming data sources.

• Experience in data migration to the cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Proficient in programming languages such as Python/Scala

• In-depth knowledge of RDBMS, Columnar Databases, and Graph databases and experience in SQL, Redshift, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, NoSQL, Neo4j etc.

• Good understanding of general pharma & healthcare space including data knowledge in Commercial Pharma Analytics space - both in Sales and Marketing

• Strong experience in database, data warehouse & data lake design & architecture

• Experience in Big Data ecosystem - on-prem (Hortonworks/MapR) or Cloud (Dataproc/EMR/HDInsight)
