Production Director

Hands-on. Production first. Execution-driven.

An international cosmetics group is establishing a new industrial site, dedicated to bulk color cosmetics manufacturing (foundations, emulsions, color bases).

The site (~40–45 employees) is entering its ramp-up phase.

???? This role is about running production — not managing from a distance.

???? Your role

You will be directly responsible for:

• Leading day-to-day bulk production operations
• Being present on the shopfloor, solving issues in real time
• Managing process variability (viscosity, dispersion, batch consistency)
• Building and structuring the production team from scratch
• Implementing Lean routines and performance discipline
• Driving the industrial ramp-up

???? This is a hands-on operational leadership role, not a coordination or reporting position.

⚠️ What this role is NOT

• Not a corporate / strategic-only position
• Not a fully structured environment with established processes
• Not a large-site director role with multiple layers of management

???? You will need to build structure, fix problems and deliver results yourself.

???? Required expertise

• Strong experience in bulk color cosmetics manufacturing
• Deep understanding of:
• Texture / viscosity control
• Pigment dispersion
• Batch reproducibility
• Proven track record in production management on the shopfloor

❗ Profiles without direct color cosmetics bulk experience will not be considered.

???? Profile

• 8–15 years experience
• Production-driven background (not purely managerial)
• Hands-on, pragmatic, execution-focused
• Comfortable working in imperfect / evolving environments
• Able to take decisions and move things forward quickly

???? Languages

• Italian
• Operational English required

• Potential to grow toward broader site leadership
• Possible exposure to European operations over time
