On behalf of our client: an international group specialised in the development and construction of utility-scale solar PV, Antal International is looking for:

Project Development Leader – Renewable Energy

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the identification of new development projects, working closely with the wider development team to apply site selection criteria.
• Supervise and coordinate the preparation, submission, and management of planning applications and associated discharge of planning conditions, while managing third-party consultants.
• Lead the negotiation of property agreements to establish heads of terms, options, and leases.
• Develop strong relationships with landowners, agents, and other stakeholders.
• Generate and maintain project schedules, risk registers, and budgets, and guide projects through our internal project management process, which includes key milestone reviews and Project Information Documents.
• Conduct commercial modelling of opportunities to assess their viability and achieve key financial hurdle rates.
• Collaborate with our in-house GIS and design team to screen sites and provide input on on-site design.

Ideal candidate:

• Academic background with an engineering degree in Renewable Energy or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing all phases of project development, with specific expertise in origination, planning, land agreements, and grid connections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
• Strong team, communication, and project management skills.
• Positive, entrepreneurial, and energetic attitude.
• Fluent in English.
• Passion for the renewable energy transition and familiarity with the regulations pertaining to the renewable energy industry.
• Willingness to travel throughout Romania as part of the role.
