The SAP ABAP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, and documenting development objects for SAP environment, including SAP ABAP Programs, function modules, forms, and data dictionary items. This role requires a solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming with experience in at least one Object Oriented language.
Responsibilities:
- Creates and modifies development objects based on design specifications and standards.
- Participates in global SAP rollouts, process improvements, and performs unit and integration testing.
- Creates technical specifications from functional requirements
- Assists Business Analysts in requirements gathering and design.
- Recommends new processes, methods, or technologies.
- Diagnoses and resolves application-related issues.
- Provides technical support to Business Analysts.
- Enhances skills and knowledge in SAP Development.
- Recommends new technologies to management.
- Shares knowledge and mentors within the development group.
- Maintains proficiency in SAP Development.
- Recommends and mentors on new processes, methods, or technologies.
- Demonstrates advanced problem-solving abilities
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
Minimum 8 years of experience in:
- ABAP development including Reports (List, Interactive & ALV)
- Function Modules
- User Exits/BADI’s/Enhancement Spots
- Classes, Methods, Interfaces
- Dialog/Module Pool Programming
- RF Console Transaction Development
- Data Dictionary
- LSMW
- Interface Programming
- ALE/EDI/IDOC Technologies
- Web Services and ABAP Proxies
- SAPScripts/Smartforms/Adobe Forms
- SAP ECC, covering at least 2 modules (e.g., MM, PP, FI, CO, SD, HR).
- An Object-Oriented language (preferably Object-Oriented ABAP or Java).
