We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative SCM Production Planner to manage production scheduling, material coordination, and inventory optimization across multiple manufacturing sites.
This role requires strong coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless supply, production, and customer delivery performance.
The ideal candidate will combine a deep understanding of production planning, MPS processes, and ERP systems with excellent analytical and communication skills to drive operational efficiency and achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Network Scheduler and Planner to develop both short-term and long-term master production plans.
Execute the monthly SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning) – Step 3 process in alignment with scheduling and procurement teams.
Coordinate with the Procurement and Manufacturing teams to verify material status and execute the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
Release production work orders on time and ensure timely closure in line with manufacturing timelines.
Partner with the Quality team for final inspection and process approvals to ensure on-time shipment and customer satisfaction.
Maintain proactive communication with the Customer Service team to track open orders and ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) commitments are met.
Regularly review planning parameters and update them to align with changing customer demand.
Ensure accurate maintenance of product structures and master data in ERP systems.
Support transition and new product introduction (NPI) projects by validating planning data and parameters.
Monitor excess and obsolete inventory, implement corrective measures, and ensure optimal inventory health.
Track and resolve production shortages through proactive material management.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OTD, quality adherence, and schedule compliance on a monthly basis.
Lead work order release and closure governance to ensure timely execution and compliance with internal procedures.
Maintain updated SOPs and work instructions in line with current operational standards.
Track and report Supply Chain Management (SCM) goals, initiating corrective actions where required.
Ensure ERP data accuracy and system health across all planning modules.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of production planning, MPS (Master Production Scheduling), and capacity & inventory planning processes.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or MFGPro.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of Power BI and PowerPoint for data visualization and reporting.
Understanding of forecasting techniques, planning parameters, and scheduling methodologies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.
Exposure to 5S, 7QC tools, and a digital-first mindset to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
