Job Description
Job Title: Senior Electronics Firmware Engineer
Experience: 3-5 years Location: Bengaluru, India # of openings: 1
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize firmware for a drug delivery device, ensuring reliable and efficient operation of the device’s electronic components.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and UX designers, to integrate firmware with other aspects of the system.
- Develop firmware architecture and write clear, well-documented code following industry best practices/standards.
- Implement the IEC 62304 standard within the firmware team.
- Develop firmware to address cybersecurity requirements.
- Test and validate firmware performance, identifying and resolving issues to ensure robust and reliable operation.
- Develop testing procedures and tools for the firmware, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Participate in design reviews, providing input and feedback on firmware-related aspects of the device.
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement and maintenance of a drug delivery device by identifying areas for optimization and implementing firmware updates as needed.
- Assist in the creation of technical documentation related to the firmware, such as design specifications, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Strong experience in firmware development for embedded systems, mandatorily in the medical device industry
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python
- Experience with microcontroller programming, digital signal processing, and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART)
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 13485, IEC 60601, and IEC 62304
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
