The IT&D Solution Architect is accountable for proactively and holistically driving solution design activities of the manufacturing platforms within the product teams, ensuring alignment with the overall Enterprise Architecture and product stream strategy. Solutions Architects provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks related to the development of a product or a set of products within a product group. S/He works closely with DevOps/development teams and suppliers to secure that the value planned will be delivered in the most optimal way according to the product strategy and the overall value for money objectives linked to the IT strategy. The Solution Architect is also accountable for supervising the design as well as the integration execution within the scope of their product(s), collaborating with the integration platform team. S/He owns solution architecture specification.

• Ability to translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into solution architecture requirements

• Understanding of organisations mission, values, and goals

Technical:

• Excellent understanding of application development methodologies & infrastructure and network architecture

Technology neutral: remains unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor choice, and is more interested in results than personal preferences

• Ability to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies

• Good understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models

• Ability to propose and estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives

• Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems
