Shared Service Centre Manager - in Iasi, on-site
The Shared Service Centre Manager will oversee the daily operations of the Shared Service Centre (SSC) in Romania, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and high-quality service delivery across all centralised back-office functions. This role is crucial for the successful transition and ongoing management of centralised back-office processes, providing back-office support to various functional areas including Finance, HR, Supply Chain, Quality, Project Management and SAP[MP1] .
Key Responsibilities:
- Operations Management:
- Oversee the daily operations of the SSC, ensuring all processes are executed efficiently and effectively.
- Coordinate with functional area owners to manage and standardise workflows.
- Monitor service delivery to ensure high performance and continuous improvement.
- Transition Management:
- Lead and support the transition of functions and processes from various locations to the SSC in Romania.
- Develop and implement detailed transition plans, including timelines and resource requirements.
- Work with stakeholders to manage change and mitigate any disruption to operations.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of SSC activities.
- Regularly review and report on SSC performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Resource Coordination:
- Ensure the SSC is adequately staffed with trained and qualified personnel.
- Coordinate training and development programs to enhance staff skills and capabilities.
- Manage relationships with external service providers and vendors as needed.
- Communication and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for SSC-related inquiries and issues.
- Maintain effective communication with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and address any concerns.
- Facilitate regular meetings and updates to keep all parties informed of progress and developments.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for back-office process improvement and implement changes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Stay informed of best practices and industry trends to keep the SSC activities competitive and innovative.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, operations management, or related field. A master’s degree is a preference.
- Experience in managing transitions and implementing back-office process improvements in a multinational environment is a plus.
- Strong coaching and people management skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and other relevant software tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures and time zones.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Romanian and other languages is a plus.
