Our client, a fast growing Life Insurance company, is looking for a strong Sr INFRASTRUCTURE & OPERATIONS ENGINEER

Our client requires an experienced Senior Engineer to provide support for key infrastructure and application services. It operates a multi-Cloud environment which include on-premises, M365/Azure and multiple 3rd Party SaaS services. The Senior Engineer must possess technical knowledge of how business applications function in the operating environment and how they have been configured and customised to meet specific business, security and company objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Installation, configuration, maintenance and support of infrastructure, applications and systems;
• Interact with Group Security, IT Management, 2nd/3rd Line Application Support, and external service providers to coordinate and resolve incidents and problems;
• Maintain IT asset management and monitoring solutions within the growing client environment;
• Instigate and orchestrate changes to infrastructure and systems, in line with change control processes;
• Support projects Infrastructure related activities in delivering high level design, implementation plan and supporting the development of Operational Procedures ensuring the expected SLAs are met;
• Coordinate and manage local Managed Service Provider and bring them to the level of services required maintaining all controls & monitors expected by regulator.

Requirements

• Knowledge, understanding and expertise including but not limited to:
  • Microsoft Server, Group Policy/Intune MDM;
  • M365/Azure & Online Services;
  • VMware Data Centre Virtualisation, vSphere ESXi, vCenter, SRM;
  • Veeam Backup & Replication, Veeam One, Veeam Backup for O365;
  • System Management and monitoring solutions (LogicMonitor).
• Knowledge or exposure to IBM iPower (AS400) is a plus;
• Industry recognized qualifications advantageous; 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to prioritize work efficiently and effectively;
• Mastering English and able to speak French.

It is a Permanent position (EMPLOYEE). No Freelance / subcontractor contract
