ANTAL is in charge to recruit a TECHNICAL KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER - Personal Care
Role description:
The Technical Key Account Manager is responsible for maximizing sales/profits of assigned key accounts. The Technical Key Account Manager serves customer needs and generates knowledge on key accounts specific strategy to identify and manage selling and value-added service opportunities.
The desired results will be achieved by working closely with the regional/ global Key Account Managers and by performing regular customer visits.
Key Areas of responsibility:
Customer Business Development
- Manage and develop actively Key Account relationships
- Align/communicate with regional/ global key account owner regarding e.g., strategy and on developing the relevant key account
- Develop and maintain key account knowledge (e.g., organization, strategy, general needs, market)
- Negotiate and close deals, incl. final pricing
- Develop new business opportunities by introducing our comprehensive specialties portfolio, value added services (e.g. formulation application support together with our innovation team, mixing and blending, production) and cross selling
- Complete relevant reporting and admin tasks
- Expand product & market knowhow via training
- Manage project pipeline of customer projects that will deliver required growth
Application development
- Proactively identify market and customer application needs/trends
- Define and support in the execution of strategic growth plans/campaigns in collaboration with the relevant sales management/ teams and Industry Marketing Management on (new) applications/ formulations
Market know how development and management
- Maintain an up-to-date level of product, technical, and application knowledge
- Keep up to date with changes and updates in the market
- Attend relevant trade shows
- Uncover new business leads within the assigned application/industry sector
- Engage with Technical Key Account Managers in other regions to share/ learn from best practices and collaborate on new business opportunities
Admin
- Ensure proper data administration and documentation of all business cases in the local CRM system (e.g., post processing of visits, customer potentials)
Required Experience
- Experienced in the chemical distribution business, preferably in a technical and/or sales capacity (57 yrs)
- Natural Science and or Commercial degree
- Mastering French language - Excellent English language skills are a must, knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage but not a must
- Willingness to travel
- Excellent communication, negotiations, and presentation skills
- Detail oriented, but with a hands-on approach and entrepreneurial mindset
