Our client is looking for a Technical Sales Manager – Battery Applications - Nano Technology – Advanced Materials for Europe (mainly Western & Northern Europe).
This role is responsible for new business development, based on products and solutions of Company in battery industry (mainly Li-ion batteries). With the focus on sales, this role also coordinates product development, technical support and marketing activity provided by other departments, identifying growth initiatives and executing the plan to expand OCSiAl’s industry presence in the Korean market of conductive additives for batteries.
This position is responsible of sales in the area, planning and execution. In cooperation with regional Technical support Centre this role is seeking for new opportunities and potential solutions based on single wall carbon nanotubes to be developed.
This position will report to the Sales & Marketing Director EMEA
The work involves constant communication with key persons of OCSiAl Group in technical support. R&D and product development divisions in the PRC, Europe and Russia.
Main Missions
- Identify opportunities, develop sales pipeline, execute plan and sustain the sales for the coming years
- Team cooperation with Product Development, R&D, Quality department, Customer Service and Marketing teams
- Manage accurately sales pipeline metrics
- Develop customer intimacy at all levels of customer hierarchy (R&D, Purchasing, Marketing, Sales, Demand Planning, Regulatory…)
- Manage contract and supply agreement. In coordination with customer service, monitor demand planning, stock and deliveries
- Maintain high level of knowledge on latest battery’s market development
- Maintain and use daily CRM to report all activities
- Participate to seminars, fairs and exhibition to actively promote our breakthrough technology
Core skills & Experience
Critical to the success in this work, the company considers the experience and intellectual flexibility of the candidate.
Degree:
Bachelor degree is obligatory in one of the following areas : Electrochemistry, Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or Material Science.
Hand-on experience:
5 years’ experience in sales or business development or new products development in following applications and industries :
- Li-Ion Batteries and their upstream supply chain (Active materials, separators, electrolytes, binders etc)
- Other conductive additives for Li-ion batteries (Carbon Black, carbon fibers, MWCNT)
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, ability to engage with customers at all levels – senior persons, R&D specialists, small companies, etc.
- Languages: Fluent in English and German would be a plus
- Ability to work independently and as a part of multi-cultural global team
- Self-motivated and can work under pressure.
