Our client is looking for a Technical Sales Manager – Polymer Applications - Nano Technology – Advanced Materials for South Korea.
This role is responsible for sales development, based on products and solutions of Company in polymer industry. With the focus on sales, this role also coordinates product development, customer support and marketing activity provided by other departments, identifying growth initiatives and executing the plan to expand OCSiAl’s industry presence in Korean market of conductive and reinforcing additives for polymers.
This position is responsible of sales in the focused area, planning and execution. In cooperation with regional Technical support Centre this role is seeking for new opportunities and potential solutions based on single wall carbon nanotubes to be developed.

This position will report to CEO of OCSiAl Asia Pacific Co Ltd..
The work involves constant communication with key persons of OCSiAl Group in technical support. R&D and product development divisions in the PRC, Europe and Russia.
Main Missions
- To increase the sales of company’s product portfolio in polymer applications,
- To expand the customer base in the territory;
- To discover new opportunities for product development in polymer applications;
- To meet the individually assigned quarterly and annual sales targets;
- To participate the planning and execution of SWCNT-based product localization strategy
- To support customers at the testing stage for new products introduction;
- To gain an in-depth understanding of the product, the technology and process, its possible applications across various sectors – to be able to grasp the prospective clients’ challenges and assist them with their trials of our products leading to commercial deployment;
- Develop and promote the Company’s brand in the territory.
Core skills & Experience
Critical to the success in this work, the company considers the experience and intellectual flexibility of the candidate.
Degree:
BA or Master level degree is obligatory in one of the following areas: Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or Material Science.
Hand-on experience:
5 years’ experience in sales or business development or new products development in following applications and industries :
- Engineering plastics (PA, PC, PEEK, PBT PET, etc) applications and their upstream supply chain
- Plastic compounds or functional masterbatch sales
- Fiber reenforced polymer application and it’s derivative applications including thermosetting and thermoplastic industries.
- Special or functional additives for thermoplastics (Carbon Black, CNT, TiO2, others)
- Composites, Carbon Fibers(GFRP/CFRP) or functional additives for such industries
Skills:
- Experience in thermoplastic industry of Korea, especially in engineering plastics, fiber-reinforced plastics, antistatic plastics.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to engage with customers at all levels: senior management, R&D specialists, small companies, etc.
- Languages: native Korean, advanced level of English (business and technical)
- Ability to work independently and as a part of multi-cultural global team
