Our client is looking for a Technical Sales Manager – Polyurethane.
This role is to maximize the effectiveness of the European sales force, and will be responsible to manage the day-to-day sales activities and to act as a sparring partner for the General Manager.
This position will report to the GM Benelux.
Main Missions
- To develop new clients for active fields and applications.
- To manage current accounts (region : Benelux, France, Germany, Nordic countries). Travelling required (30% to 50%).
- To generate new projects development.
- To ensure achievement of sales targets, following budgets and margin structure.
- To prepare yearly commercial budgets and monthly follow-up on the targets I terms of quantities and margins.
Core skills & Experience
Critical to the success in this work, the company considers the experience and intellectual flexibility of the candidate.
Degree:
BA or Master level degree is preferable in one of the following areas: Polymer Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Engineering or Material Science, but not mandatory.
Hand-on experience:
3+ years’ experience in sales, business development or new products development in following applications and industries :
- Polyurethane coatings
- Waterborne polyurethane dispersions (PUD)
- Polycarbonate Diols
- Aliphatic Isocyanates and derivatives
Skills
- Strong entrepreneurial and commercial thinking
- Analytical mindset : understanding of financial metrics to be able to control his sales budget
- Problem solving to meet deadlines and handling pressure
- Strong analytical thinking, with technical interest
- Strong communication, listening and relationship building skills
- Languages :
- English and Dutch (fluent in speaking & writing)
- German and/or French would be a plus
