Traction Drive System Design Engineer 

Location: Šempeter pri Gorici, Ljubljana or Maribor (SLOVENIA)

tasks and responsibilities:

• Design and mechanical simulation of electric motors as part of an electric traction drive system
• Design and calculation / simulation of system interfaces between e-motor, electronics, mechanic assembly of PCB, connectors and other interfaces
• Definition of material and manufacturing method and creation of manufacturing drawings Monitoring of design status and achievement of requirements for mechanical design 
• Continuous improvement of design process, implementation of lessons learned and best practice

skills and abilities:

• Education with at least diploma/master in mechanical engineering 
• At least 3-5 years of experience in design and optionally mechanical simulation of e-motors and preferably also in other mechatronic components in automotive industries
• Experience in integration of electric power train components (electric motor, electronics, coolant circuit, connectors and mechanical installation) 
• Experience in structural-mechanical FEM simulation of electric motors or mechatronic components, including their interfaces
• Experience in tolerance analysis, robust design, design to cost & design to manufacturing
• Experience in state of the art manufacturing technologies of mechatronic components 
• Skills and experience in communication with automotive customers and suppliers

Excellent language skills in English in writing and speaking.
