This centre plays a key role in electric mobility. It offers validation, development and certification services, from the cell to the complete battery pack. It is also an expert in testing turbochargers, inverters, powertrains, traction drive etc...
With years of experience and state-of-the-art equipment, the centre offers tailor-made solutions. It caters for the automotive, rail, aeronautical and space markets, as well as all sectors requiring specific batteries.
They are seeking a seasoned Turbocharger Expert to join their team, bringing deep expertise in product design, testing and validation. This role is key to supporting our engineering and sales teams in turbocharger operations, data analysis, customer engagement and business development.
Responsibilities

Support R&D and testing teams in their understanding of turbocharger architecture, material selection, and performance optimization.

Provide technical recommendations regarding design changes and their impact on performance and reliability.

Develop and deliver internal training on turbocharger design, operation, matching with engines, control, failure modes, and system behavior.

Mentor engineers and technicians and promote best practices across engineering teams.

Support development of turbocharger test campaigns (performance, durability, and failure analysis).

Support test results analysis and provide in-depth technical feedback and reporting.

Interface with test bench operators and instrumentation teams for data accuracy.

Participate in technical discussions with clients to ensure confidence in our capabilities.

Assist sales and business development teams with technical content for proposals and presentations.

Attend customer meetings to provide expert-level insight and support project acquisition.
Requirements

Masters or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field.

10+ years of experience in turbocharger product development, engine matching, testing and validation.

Deep knowledge of turbocharger systems, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical design.

Deep understanding of turbocharging electronic control and software strategies.

Strong experience with test data analysis tools and methodologies.

Understanding of engine management systems and components and their integration with forced induction technologies.

Proven ability to support sales teams with technical credibility and client-facing engagements.

Strong communication and presentation skills; able to convey complex topics to various audiences.

Experience working cross-functionally in matrixed organizations.

Experience with simulation tools (CFD, FEA) and test instrumentation systems (Matlab, Simulink, PATools, Concerto, PUMA, INCA, Diagalyser, Canalyser)

Fluent in English and French and familiar with working in an international context.
