Biodiversity Business is a Social Enterprise dedicated to supporting Wildlife Conservation and promoting Sustainable Marketing.

Biodiversity Business’s primary business model is related to ‘conservation tourism’ – organizing and facilitating internship opportunities and volunteer conservation work for European and UK nationals in remote parts of Indonesia, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

Volunteers have the opportunity to do meaningful, impactful work in safe and directed environments, helping the conservation related projects. The wildlife and conservation projects cover a variety of rescue and rehabilitation work supporting animals like tigers, orangutans and sea turtles. Time spent on these projects can range anywhere from 1 week to 6 months, typically with cohorts/groups going out together for a set duration.

 

Udamon (udamon.org) 

Udamon is a holistic career advancement programme for young people at critical development stages.

They provides engaging learning experiences for uncertain career starters and changers with the knowhow and vision they need to confidently pursue their true direction in life.

Through the pandemic, the business has evolved from offering an off-the-shelf self-directed training package to a fully developed series of webinars and support services with content that addresses emotional intelligence and relevant work place training.

 

My Pickle (mypickle.org)     

My Pickle is a search engine for UK nationals to find help fast for any number of issues – everything from mental health to credit support to housing and crime.

They do this by managing an actively curated database of 1,750 independent support services across the country.

The website is free to use and is maintained by nearly 100 volunteers devoting time to work within specific guidelines to keep the database up to date and functional.
