Role: Accounting Analyst

Reporting to: Head of Finance & HR / Dotted to Head of Fund and Counter-party Oversight

Key Relationships: External - Accountants / Auditors / Banks / FCA / Distributors / Suppliers / Clients

Internal - All employees and business heads

Primary purpose of the role

Our client is looking for an Accounting Analyst to prepare and perform end to end Month End process, ensuring accuracy and timing. Duties for the Accounting Analyst will include ensuring compliance with regulations, ensuring accounting operations processes to be carried out on a daily basis and ensuring accuracy of accounting information, analysing financial data, monitoring expenditure.

Duties:

• Preparation of month end
• Strong attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines
• calculation of accruals and prepayments.
• Perform regular accounting controls
• Bookkeeping.
• periodic supplier and employee's expenses statement reconciliations prior processing supplier and employee's expenses payments in accordance with the payment terms and allocate those payments on a regular basis.
• Fixed asset accounting and reconciliations.
• Periodic controls around sales invoices / AR management.
• Bank reconciliations.
• Management Accounts.
• Providing support to the team

Core skills & Qualifications

• Strong excel skills/ data analysis
• Strong attention to detail and meeting strict deadlines
• Ideally Sage 50 Accounts knowledge.
• Part-qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA (actively studying) with a minimum of 1-year accounting experience.
• Pro-active approach eager to learn and develop.
• Analytical skills.
• Exceptionally organised.
• Ability to identify and correct errors to ensure impeccable accuracy.
