Parkside Recruitment are currently partnering with a rapidly growing business for the appointment of a Accounts Assistant.
You will ideally have 2 years experience in a similar position and be eager to progress your career into a fast paced role.
Responsibilities:
- Purchases - Match vendor invoices to existing purchase orders in Clik Service Manager Software, Accurately code and process purchase invoices, Process employee expenses by 10th of each month for payment 11th -12th, Prepare payment runs for approval
- Balance Sheet - Reconcile/post credit card transaction with receipts - must be kept up to date, Assist in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, Daily banking with month end bank reconciliations, VAT submissions
- Monthly Payroll - Working through time sheets, liaising with engineers to prepare payroll report for the monthly payroll run,
- Ad Hoc Fleet management - Monitoring costs like fuel cards, liaising with external contacts, keeping on top of tax and services paperwork to date, Monitoring trackers and mileage
Skills and Experience:
- Proficient in the use of Sage 50 Accounts
- Ideally be studying towards an accounting qualification - ACCA, CIMA, AAT
- Must have good excel skills (Pivot tables, V-Lookups, sum ifs)
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage their own workload and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Analytical thinking
- Ability to work alone
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, Outlook & Excel
- Full driving licence
