Salary100-125k EUR p.a. + bonus per KPI (10%-20%)LocationSouth AfricaIndustryFood ManufacturingJob DescriptionExperience in the seafood, maritime, or aquaculture industries is absolutely required!Our Client : Global Investment fund developing its business globally with an well- known American owned harvesting and processing seafood fisherySummary: The Accounts Receivable Manager (ARM) leads our A/R activities from multiple business units in different countries and currencies.The best fit candidate will have excellent team leadership & development skills, execute deliverables, and embrace the opportunity to modernize an AR department.Travel is required to USA HQ from time to time (~max. 20% of an annual working time).
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the team’s execution of timely accurately application of funds, account reconciliations, customer statements, report generation & analysis, and period close related activities.
- Ensures best practice and improve or update policies and procedures.
- Be responsible for continuous improvement efforts, efficiencies, and process excellence.
- Ensures the accurate and timely application of funds to customer accounts through the management of the manual and automated processes.
- Ensure reports have relevant analysis for impactful communication and decision making by recipients.
- Establish and maintain policies and procedures for payment and deduction processing, provide clear guidance to teams and ensure adherence.
- Create, maintain, communicate KPIs for visibility and self-reporting and support KPI efforts by other departments that rely upon information from the Accounts Receivable department. Report deviations of performance or failure of compliance to department, company, or legal standards.
- Create, document, and distribute non-trade invoices for services rendered.
- Lead the Accounts Receivable team, providing direction, development, guidance, feedback.
- Performs Performance assessments for the countries division teams. Responsible for hiring, discipline, termination and rewards decisions.
Experience & Education Required
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university;
- Min 5 years of directly related experience, including previous management or supervisory experience.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; strong Word, Outlook, and Power Point experience.
- Strong financial skills and understanding of financial concepts and business principles including familiarity with financial statements and GAAP.
- Experienced work with multiple currencies, large numbers, and multiple business units through the management of ledgers.
- “At home” with handling Discounts, interest, commissions, proportions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experienced with a well know ERP strongly preferred (ie. SAP preferred).
- Experience in the seafood or similar – A MUST
