JOB SUMMARY 

an accomplished and compassionate Consultant in Psychiatry is required to join one of the leading hospitals in Saudi Arabia. As a Consultant you will play a pivotal role in Overseeing the psychiatric department and providing expert consultation and guidance on mental health diagnoses and treatments, Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic and personalized care for patients with mental health conditions. And play a vital role in advancing mental health services and research initiative.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   

• Provides high-quality care to patients in this area of medicine. 
• Ability to assess and treat psychiatric problems in persons with addictive disorders and to deal with crisis situations
• Have overall responsibility of patient treatment plans, whilst liaising with the multidisciplinary team
• Psychological assessment, diagnosis and follow-up of outpatients
• Provide consultative service as requested. 
• Supervise fellows, staff/assistant physicians, and residents. 
• Actively participate in the training and teaching of residents and fellows in his area of expertise. Participates in research activities. 
• Participates in committees and other administrative functions as needed. 
• Performs special procedures as privileged. 
• Follows all hospital-related policies and procedures. 
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
• Completion of the required period of training in Psychiatry and/or Subspecialty
• (Arab, Jordanian, Lebanese, Algerian)Board certification in the relevant medical Psychiatry is typically required or equivalent.
• Membership and/or Fellowship or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the consultant as required
• A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
• Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience

• Min. 5 years Post Board/Fellowship in Psychiatry.
• A registered member of the Saudi Board Council

 Language

• Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
