- Familiarity with a variety of development and testing tools, including: Eclipse, GIT, GCC, JIRA, Subversion, Maven, ClearQuest/Case, Silk, FindBugs, HP/Fortify SCA, IBM AppScan, and HP WebInspect.
- Explaining all vulnerabilities and weaknesses in the OWASP Top 10, WASC TCv2, and CWE 25 to any audience, and discuss effective defensive techniques
- Working with vendors/consultants/partners in system security solution and give technical assistance to other departments with regards to the security plan and design to ensure adherence to quality parameters and standards.
- Designing and delivering security training to developers
- Creating and maintaining Application Security policies including secure coding policies, procedures and standards, coding standards, and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to include necessary security checkpoints, code review methodologies, etc.
- Defining and documenting how the implementation of a new application or interface impacts the security posture of the current environment and testing new application / changes to existing application before go-live
- Install, administer, and troubleshoot all security solutions specific to software application used within IT and tracking solution performance and find issues, if any. Analyze the identified issues to suggest remediations and improve solution performance.
- Tracking Help Desk Incidents and Service Request metrics to identify recurring issues; maintain and report performance metrics.
- Give feedback to the Engineering team on analyzed issues.
- Assist the QA teams with security testing for applications.
