Or client is a multinational agriculture company based in Egypt and we are looking for an Agronomist specialist in Tomato & green leaf greenhouses.

To research, advise, and apply various ways by which new plants can be cultivated, altered, and utilized using the most advanced sciences and technologies, aiming to increase the quality and the quantity of the plants produced. This person will be responsible for the greenhouses and managing the team.

• Study and explore different ways to utilize soils and make them more productive and profitable, by assessing soils and analyzing their composition, components, and compounds for better, more effective, and sustainable crops and plants growth.
•  Conduct selective breeding of plants to produce the best crops under various conditions and enhance the crop yield, quality, and value over time.
• Gather and analyze soils and crops data and provide management and stakeholders with expert advice about how and when to grow the best sustainable crops and plants, improve the next generations, and solve problems concerning planting, harvesting, cultivation, and environmental sustainability.
• Develop scientific methods to protect and solve problems affecting the soils and crops from weed, pests, insects, water, climate, diseases, and other factors.
•  Participate in policies and procedures design and development as well as the strategic plans and projects including schedules and budgets as subject matter expert.
• Audit farm works and operations, perform quality control for soils, seeds, and crops, and report findings and outputs to stakeholders.
• Engage in learning activities and training sessions to employees for promoting best practices, sharing technological and field updates, and other advisory and developmental information related to agronomy.

Profile:

• Agronomist Engineer
• Experience of minimum 5 years managing tomate & green leafs greenhouses
• English fluent
• Available to relocate in Egypt
• Excellent research, analytical and reporting skills & communications and presentation skills & team management
