My client based near Severn Beach in Bristol require an Air Freight Import Clerk with experience. The role is paying £26-32K on a 37.5 hours a week Mon-Fri, with 2-3 days working from home.
Main Purpose of the role:
The Air Import Clerk will handle the day to day freight forwarding operational duties and customer service within the Air Import Freight Forwarding Department, and to provide efficient and high-quality service to the customers. Encompassing all aspects of Imports from quoting, collection, docs completion, billing, etc.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle air freight import operations from start to finish
- Provide a high level of customer service to clients
- Work within company guidelines at all times
- Communicating effectively with colleagues, as part of a team
- Keeping up to date with legislation affecting the import of goods by air
To Be Considered:
- Proven experience in Air Import operations, or working as an Air Import Clerk
- Substantial knowledge of Customs Procedures is required.
- Ability to work well under pressure, and stick to deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
