Key Responsibilities:

• Collections Management: Proactively manage a portfolio of accounts to ensure timely collection of outstanding balances.
• Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with customers while resolving billing issues and inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Invoice Verification: Verify the accuracy of invoices, contracts, and purchase orders for proper billing and coding.
• Payment Posting: Accurately record and apply payments received from customers.
• Aging Analysis: Regularly review and analyze accounts receivable aging reports to prioritize collection efforts.
• Payment Plans: Negotiate and establish payment plans when necessary to assist customers in resolving their outstanding balances.
• Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate collection notes and reports, summarizing activities and progress.
• Documentation: Maintain organized records of all customer interactions and collection efforts.
• Process Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline the collection process and enhance efficiency.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an AR Collection Specialist or in a related role.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable principles and collections practices.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in using accounting and collections software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations regarding collections.
• High degree of integrity and professionalism when handling sensitive financial information.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
