Art Handler and Logistics Specialist
Location: Langley
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00
Salary: Circa £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Holiday Entitlement: 23 days per year

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join their team. The successful candidate will specialize in the careful handling, packing, transportation, and installation of high-end furniture, antiques, sculptures, and fine art.

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join their team. The successful candidate will specialize in the careful handling, packing, transportation, and installation of high-end furniture, antiques, sculptures, and fine art.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Professional handling, packing, and crating of sensitive and valuable antiques, furniture, sculptures, and fine art.
- Preparing items for local, domestic, and international transport, ensuring maximum protection.
- Wrapping, loading, spanning, and tying down artworks within trucks or containers to ensure safe and stable transit.
- Inspecting artworks to determine appropriate handling, packing, and transportation methods.
- Conducting site surveys at client premises to assess access and determine the best practices.
- Expert installation of artworks, sculptures, and high-end furniture at various locations.
- Managing paperwork efficiently, including bills of lading, labels, timesheets, and detailed condition reports with photographs.
- Maintaining communication with the operations team throughout the day.
- Applying a thorough understanding of packing materials to protect diverse surfaces during handling and transport.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience with industry standards for handling, packing, transporting, and installing high-end furniture, art, and antiques.
- Expertise in wrapping and packing valuable and sensitive items.
- Physical fitness with the ability to work comfortably on ladders, scaffolding, or mechanized lifts.
- A professional appearance and demeanor.
- Familiarity with art terminology and handling protocols.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
