JOB SUMMARY :

As an assistant consultant in Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) where you will be instrumental in delivering specialized care to pediatric patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions. Your responsibilities will include participating in the diagnosis and management of ENT disorders in children, supporting treatment plans, contributing to research activities, and collaborating closely with the pediatric ENT team to provide excellent care for pediatric patients. Additionally, you will play a role in the training and supervision of junior medical staff, contributing to the advancement of pediatric ENT services, and ensuring the highest standards of care for young patients with ENT conditions

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES     

• Demonstrate advanced clinical skills in the Pediatric ENT  field.
• Manage complex medical cases independently.
• Provide leadership in delivering high-quality patient care.
• Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and residents.
• Contribute to the training and development of medical teams.
• Collaborate closely with consultants and specialists in multidisciplinary teams.
• Offer expert consultations on challenging medical cases.
• Engage in clinical research activities.
• Contribute to academic programs, teaching, and training initiatives.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Implement and adhere to evidence-based medical practices.
• Assume leadership responsibilities within the medical department.
• Contribute to decision-making processes related to patient care and departmental policies.
• Pursue continuous professional development and stay abreast of advancements in the medical field.
• Attend conferences and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
• Advocate for patient rights and welfare.
• Ensure a patient-centered approach in medical care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
• Lead and participate in emergency medical responses.
• Provide expertise in critical and urgent medical situations

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education :

• Graduate from a medical school of good standing.
• Completion of required period of training in ENT and/or Subspecialty
• Saudi Arab or American /European Board Certification or equivalent.
• Membership and/or Fellowship status in America and/or Europe or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for Assitant Consultant as required
• A certificate recognized by the Saudi Commission is a must
• Dataflow is a must.

Professional Experience

• +2 years experience after certification.
• A registered member of the Saudi Board Council is preferable

Language

• Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
