MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive dental care, including examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients of all ages.
- Perform a range of dental procedures such as restorations, extractions, crowns, bridges, and other dental surgeries as needed.
- Educate patients on oral health, preventive measures, and post-treatment care, fostering good oral hygiene practices.
- Work closely with other dental specialists, medical professionals, and support staff to ensure integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, and treatment plans, and follow established protocols for documentation.
- Stay updated on advancements in dentistry, participate in continuing education, and ensure compliance with professional standards and best practices.
- Provide guidance and supervision to junior dental staff, residents, and interns, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, adhere to infection control measures, and participate in hospital accreditation processes.
- Engage in community outreach programs, dental health education, and preventive initiatives to promote oral health awareness.
- Be prepared to respond to dental emergencies, providing immediate and effective interventions as required.
- Contribute to dental research initiatives within the hospital, advancing knowledge and practices in the field.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Dentistry from a recognized medical school.
- Saudi Arab or American /Canadian/ Board Certification or equivalent
- Membership in the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburg or their equivalent and fulfilling the criteria for the Senior Registrar as required.
- A certificate recognized by the Saudi commission is a must.
- Dataflow is a must.
Professional Experience
- + Min. 2 years Post Board/Fellowship in Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
- A registered member of the Saudi Board Council
Language
- Proficiency in English; additional proficiency in Arabic may be beneficial.
