Position                               : Assistant Manager Design

Reports To                          : Design Head

Key Skills & Knowledge

• 3-5 years of experience in an Automotive Component Company, preferably in a Mechatronic / Powertrain Environment
• B.E. / B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering
• Should have experience of direct interaction with Suppliers for technical support & with OEMs for their new design needs or modifications requirements
• Strong knowledge of 3D software and should have solid hands-on experience on CATIA 5 (Part modelling, generative shape design, drafting)
• Strong knowledge of GD & T and Tolerance Analysis
• Strong knowledge of Materials & Material Selection
• Strong knowledge in processes like Assembly, PDC, machining, plastic molding, sheet metal, rubbers, fasteners, springs, etc.
• Strong experience in DFM, DFA, DFS & DFMEA.

Key Responsibility Area

• Reports to Engineering Design Head
• To work along with Italian design team
• Perform feasibility study & involve as a CFT in drawing reviews
• Design & drafting of child parts, sub assembly & assembly, including specifying Performance Characteristics, Material Surface treatment, Heat treatment requirements, etc.
• Involvement in Modification and improvement of current product
• Involvement in VAVE
• Support in APQP, preparation and update of DFMEA & support in PFMEA.
