Assistant Manager – Human Resources
Location: Kolkata | Work Mode: On-site
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Human Resources partners closely with business leaders and HR teams to deliver a strong, consistent employee experience. This role acts as a key connector between employees and leadership, supporting talent initiatives, employee relations, and business-aligned HR solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business & Talent Partnership

Support the design and execution of talent initiatives including engagement, performance management, learning & development, retention, and recognition programs

Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence such as Talent Acquisition, Compensation & Benefits, DEI, Employee Relations, and HR Operations

Use workforce insights, HR metrics, and data-driven analysis to support decision-making

Support business leaders in navigating a complex, matrixed organization
Leadership & Employee Support

Build trusted relationships with employees and people managers

Coach leaders on people practices that drive engagement, productivity, and retention

Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, queries, and workplace guidance

Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies, processes, and employment practices
Employee Experience & Culture

Promote an inclusive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture

Guide employees on HR policies, tools, and available resources

Support initiatives that strengthen morale, engagement, and organizational effectiveness

Education & Experience

Graduate or Postgraduate degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or a related field

4+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner or HR COE role

Experience working in high-growth or dynamic business environments preferred
