About Us

We are Antal International’s first and the largest office (so far) in India. In late 2006, Joseph Devasia, (then an aspiring entrepreneur now Managing Director – Antal International India) returned from the UK with an Antal International franchise and set up his office in Mumbai in January 2007. The rest they say is history. 

Starting with loads of enthusiasm, ambition and optimism alongside a team of just 2 people, today Joseph’s business includes 50 highly skilled consultants from varied professional backgrounds and extensive experience in identifying top level talent for global MNCs, large Indian conglomerates as well as start-ups.

With 17+ years of presence in the Indian Job market, this office has supported 600+ companies and placed nearly 2000 candidates at the mid and senior levels.

Meet Joseph Devasia

Prior to launching Antal in India in 2007, Joseph has had over 10 years’ experience in Manufacturing, IT Consulting and Human Resources in India and the UK. An Electrical Engineering graduate from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Vadodara, India he started his career at Gujarat Guardian working within Production Planning before discovering a love for technology, that led him to work in the UK after a short training in SAP.

After a couple of years in IT Consulting he ventured to set up his own recruitment business in the UK before signing up for an Antal franchise and moving back to India. 13+ years since stepping into the Indian recruitment market and launching a new recruitment brand, Joseph carved a niche for himself and Antal International in the Indian job market. Today, with a network of 40+ offices across 14 Indian cities, he has driven the Antal India growth story.

A well-known face within the Indian recruitment and business circuit, Joseph is regarded as a thought leader and influencer within the industry. His opinions on job market trends have often been published in leading publications such as Economic Times, Times of India, Mint, Business Standard. He has featured twice in LinkedIn’s Annual Staffing Coffee Table Book – Leaders That Inspire.
Joe (as he is fondly called) is an avid biker, enjoys travelling, adventure sports and enjoys playing football over the weekends. And it is this love for his extra-curricular interests that drive him in the business everyday.
