Job Title: Associate – General Corporate (PE/VC Mandate)

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Associate for a well know law firm with 2–3 years of experience to join a team specializing in General Corporate matters with a focus on Private Equity and Venture Capital transactions. The role offers exposure to complex and high-value investment deals involving startups, investors, and corporates.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents including shareholders’ agreements, share subscription agreements, and term sheets

• Conduct legal due diligence and prepare detailed due diligence reports

• Advise clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and related issues

• Coordinate with clients and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transaction execution

• Manage documentation and timelines for deal closings

Candidate Profile

• 2–3 years PQE in General Corporate practice, preferably with exposure to PE/VC transactions

• Strong understanding of Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI regulations, and other relevant laws

• Demonstrated experience in deal execution and client interaction

• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

• Law degree from a reputed institute
