Job purpose
To strategize and develop initiatives to grow and expand the vertical by building a highly capable and engaged team, with focus on continuous improvement and value creation for clients.
Areas of Responsibility- Indicative Activities
- Strategy and Business Growth- Build strategies for growth of the Vertical YoY, review the Action Plan prepared, determine the Budget around that and seek approval from the Partners. Make changes in the Action Plan as and when required. Determine Key Performance Indicators define y-o-y targets in consultation with the Partners. Cascade the Vertical targets and set challenging targets for each team in a timely manner. Conceptualize new product development from time to time and seek guidance from the Partner for successful launch of the same. Enhance existing product features to deliver customer delight. Define the team structure, create the decision and escalation matrices and ensure adherence to the same with assistance from the Dy Mentor.
- Business Development- Involve actively in market research for identifying potential clients and initiate BD-related activities in partnership with the Dy Mentor and TL. Review and approve the proposal before it is shared with the client..
- Project Planning and Management- Approve the Action Plan prepared by the team and ensure timely execution of the same. Review the TLs periodically along with Dy Mentor to seek updates across projects handled and suggest solutions to challenges faced. Review the critical assignments and the associated documents on a regular basis. Suggest multiple solutions to the team for successful closure of assignments. Ensure escalation matrix is being followed strictly and guide the team in managing escalations in an effective manner.
- Billing and Recovery- Seek updates on billing, recovery, and work from the teams at weekly intervals and recommend suitable actions. Intervene in cases of outstanding recoveries, pending billing, proposals and Referrals wherever needed.
- Knowledge Management- Contribute to Knowledge Management by writing professional articles for internal circulation and also for publication on social media. Conduct sessions externally in various industry forums to enhance branding and visibility of firm. Conduct knowledge sharing sessions at an organization level.
- Team Management and Development- Participate actively in the hiring process for positions till middle-management level. Finalize assessments for evaluating competencies of candidates for hiring, promotions, internal movements etc. Review the trainings recommended team and finalize the same for sharing with HR team.
- Reviews and Reporting- Respond suitably to the issues and concerns highlighted by the team during weekly meetings with Partners. Review the report prepared by the Dy Mentor and club it with other key MIS for review by Partners.
