In addition to providing capital and financing needs and investment philosophy they are guiding business development, product, and technology strategy for their portfolio companies through programs to achieve successful outcomes. On that rapid growth of expansion our client is seeks to hire a venture professional to support investment process as well as enable portfolio company growth

Role details:

• Title / Designation: Associate – Investment & Portfolio Company Management
• Reporting Manager: Partner of the VC fund
• Location: Chennai, Hyderabad

Role & responsibilities:

• Assist team in deal sourcing and investment efforts.
• Actively contribute to investment decisions.
• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential investments.
• Review business plans and screen investment opportunities.
• Prepare analysis, investment memos, and presentations.
• Aid portfolio companies in business activities and planning.
• Monitor portfolio performance for LP updates.
• Support fund operations: fundraising, communications, events, marketing.

Candidate requirements:

• 3+ years in Venture Capital /Private Equity or early employee at startup or previous startup co-founder or strategy consulting, or similar fields.
• Bachelors in computer science, MBA, or relevant business graduate degree. Exceptional engineers or chartered accountants with finance expertise
• Proficiency in data analysis, market research, and research tools.
• Self-motivated, ethical, and diligent.
• Capable of independent work and taking ownership.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Selection process:

• Three rounds of discussions with partners of the VC fund
• Interview by a Founder of a portfolio company (optional)
• HR discussions
